Admission & Collection Policy
The Lighthouse Childcare Centre has a gradual admission process which allows a child to settle into nursery at their own pace. We encourage visits, for parents and children together and for children alone so that the transition from home to nursery is as smooth as possible.
Full time nursery children cannot be accepted before 8am and must be collected before 6pm. Sessional care children cannot be accepted before session start times and must be collected promptly when the session ends.
At the end of the session children must be collected by either the parent or an adult who has been introduced to staff.
Under no circumstances will a child be allowed to leave the premises with anyone other than a designated carer (who must be an adult over 16 years of age).
